The 4 lost girls

There was this little girl called  Manaia and she went on a boat with her friends Victoria , Lexani and Kaia  and then their boat sank and they got washed up on this unknown Island.

On the Island there was 2 palm trees,2 big rocks and a beautiful sunset. Then they went adventuring such as climbing trees, looking under rocks and walking on the beach.  When Kaia was climbing the palm tree she found a bottle with a pen and a piece of paper.

This is what they wrote. Hi My name is Manaia and I went on a trip with my friends Kaia,Lexani and Victoria and we got stuck on this unknown island. “Help,Help,Help please come and save us!”

After they wrote the note they chucked it into the water.Then it was night time, they found some rocks and sticks to make a fire.Then they got some leaves for blankets.

In the morning they went hunting for food, they climbed a coconut tree and they got a coconut that had all the yummy juice or coconut cream in it.Then they got a coconut with  the coconut shavings in it and it was amazing.

Then they ate their food.Then they got some sticks and leaves to make a hut because it looked liked a storm was  coming.

Oh look someone is coming on the boat to save us.Look there in a blue boat I think it's the police coming to save us I hope our parents are there to.

My Christmas story

December 25 is Christmas ,This Christmas I only want one thing,this Christmas  I want a new phone because mine is broken.Every Christmas we put up or Christmas tree and decorations and candy canes on our tree a. In the morning  my brother and I usually sleep together so we can run to the tree in the morning.For breakfast my Dad makes  us breakfast. We usually have a hangi for dinner.My mum makes some baking because we need some treats. Thank you Santa

My Halloween recount

Ooooo! I said in a spooky voice.Boo! I scared my brother.This year I went as a skeleton witch and my Aunty did my face paint. My mum said that we shouldn't go because there was a big storm in Auckland but then it stopped.

This year we got lee's candy then last year. Halloween has been around for 20,00 years. The reason I don't like Halloween is because then some kids teeth can full out or get roten because if all of the lollies they get.

My favourite candy is twix,kit kat and caramel hard candy.This year  I got lots of lollies we shared our lollies. “Trick or treat” I said to the person at the door and they gave me a big twix bar.

This year I loved my costume and I hope it doesn't rain next year.

Introduction

Dolphins are amazing, beautiful, kind and  gentle animals that are very intelligent.  

Are dolphins mammals?

Yes dolphins are mammals because they are warm blooded even though they live in the water.  Being a mammal means that they have live babies.  Dolphins are carnivores which means they eat meat.

Appearance?  

Dolphin's can be blue, grey, pink or brown.  Dolphins have a little hole at the top of its head which helps them to breathe.  Dolphins also have fins and a cool looking tails.  They have amazing eyesight and hearing.

What dolphins like to eat

Dolphins like to eat different kinds of fish.

Facts on dolphins

The killer whale which is also known as an Orca is actually a type of dolphin.  The bottlenose dolphin is the most common dolphin.  The female dolphin is called a cow and the males are called bulls.  Baby dolphins are called calves.  They usually live and hang out together with about 12 other dolphins, these are called pods or schools.

CONCLUSION

I think it is really sad that people are killing dolphins as I think they would be a wonderful pet and are very cool animals.

Hi I said to Micaela... now it is time to go through to room 19 and Mrs Redwared was cross because people weren’t listening so we had to stay in and also the first thing I did was go to my comprehension and finish it off so Mrs Medcalf can see it at Emerald 3 on Thursday.

Kapa Haka

On Thursday the year 4,5 and 6’s that were in kapa haka went to Hastings intermediate.Then we went to the kapa haka festival at Bay City Outreach Centre.We all tried our best also we all had face paint.We had to get our uniforms on and went on to the bus.The people that I sat with was Kaia,Lexani. We tried to put 3 people on a 2 person seat but it did work.Then we drove to Hastings Intermediate and then it was our turn to perform and we did really well and I enjoyed it.Now it is time for Heretaunga to perform, they were amazing.My favorite performance was the last one but I don’t know what school they went to.

Cross Country

Introduction

On Wednesday 31st  November 2016 . The years 4, 5, and 6 walked over to Frimley Park to take part in the Frimley School 2016 Cross Country. The reason why schools should have cross country is because kids need to get  fit and also we need to know who is going to interschools.

What happened first

The year  4 girls walked up to the starting line with a lot of excitement.The year 5 and 6’s were cheering for them.Here comes  Nevaeh who is in Nottingley  sprinting to the finish line,Mr Marple yelled through the microphone. WAHO GO MAIA!.yeah Maia who is in Pakowhai came 2nd and  Katelyn Cooper who is in Pakowhai  came 3rd.

When it was my turn

Madison Maddie and I were so nervous because we all were running the same race because we are all year 5s.  When Mr Marple said all year 5 girls  please  come over to the finish line we were so nervous when Mr White was talking. Ready,Set,CLAP went the clappers,and off we went. I was coming first but then Ana came sprinting up to me but I was still happy for being 2nd but then here comes a whole bunch of …. oh no!. Next minute  I am coming 11th.Oh no I placed 28th but anyway I still was  proud of myself because last year I came 28th.Ana in room 20/21 come 1st , Isabella that is in room 20/21 come 2nd and Kalay that is in room 20/21 come 3rd. When it was my turn my track went from the starting line and then we had to run a little bit and then here “comes a turn’’ I said to Ana. Now we have to run straight ahead because  that was  half a lap, then we had to run a full lap.

What happend 2nd to last

When I was done I felt  like I did my best because last year I come 12th and this year I come 28th but I was still fine with it  because I tried my best. When we were waiting for the year sixes run we had a little snack.I was super excited for the year six girls girls to run because I had a lot of friends in that race. The year 6 girl that come first was Lexi(Alexis) is her real name but she would rather be called Lexi.Lexi come first in the year 6 run and she is in room 20/21,Hannah that is in room 20/21 as well came 2nd in her run  and finally Ella that is also in room 20/21 came 3rd in her race.I was so proud of everyone.  

When cross country was over Mr Marple called out the year 4 girls that came 1st,2nd, and 3rd and the runners up were  Nevaeh who come 1st,Maia who came 2nd (and she is in our class) and  Katelyn who come 3rd. I was so happy that Maia came 2nd because she deserved it because she trains hard and also works hard to beat her score for other years. Next year I will try to beat my score from this year and try to go to interschools because that has been my dream so far.
